Insurance Post Claims and Fraud Award winners revealed

Claims and fraud awards 2024 logo

Allianz (including LV), Aviva, DWF and Sedgwick were all multiple winners at the Insurance Post Claims and Fraud Awards last night (3 October).

Held at The Brewery in London, host Angela Barnes entertained the 450 attendees before the gongs were handed out, culminating in DWF partner Paul Berry winning the Achievement Award.

Trailing Berry’s win, Barnes said: “This year’s winner has dedicated themselves to the insurance industry, clients and colleagues for over 35 years achieving spectacular success.

“They have had meteoric career success rising from junior solicitor to become the CEO of a firm that has grown from a two partner regional interest to a global business with turnover exceeding £350m.”

She added: “They have also played a part in connecting with local communities, helping set up a foundation that has donated significant funds to organisations focused on education, employability, health and wellbeing, homelessness and sustainability.

“Whilst closer to home they have mentored, inspired and helped guide many of the industry leaders that operate in claims and fraud today, including a number of you in the room tonight.”

Berry, who has Stage 4 terminal cancer, was unable to collect the award in person but long-standing colleague and DWF co-founder Jim Davies spoke passionately about his achievements in his absence.
