California scheming costs fraudster £60k

Car crash

A man has been sentenced for making an insurance claim worth £59,987, after he pretended he crashed a hire car while on holiday in California.

The fraudster, Jack Higgins, claimed he rented a Range Rover while on holiday in 2019. 

He went on to make a claim on the car, alleging he crashed it into a wall when he swerved to avoid an animal on
