Zurich was the big winner at the 2019 Post Insurance Fraud Awards picking up three awards, and a highly commended including top prize in the Investigation of the Year category.

DWF picked up the Fraud Investigation Team of the Year, meanwhile its partner James Pinder was handed the Achievement Award.

Addressing the 500 guests at The Brewery, host Stephen K Amos paid tribute to Pinder saying: “One of the first insurance lawyers in the industry to have specialised in fraud, our winner has been instrumental in establishing two notable specialist fraud legal departments - first at Silverbeck Rymer and then Ricksons/DWF.

“As a result they have been involved in many significant and landmark cases including Khan v Hughes and Khan et al v Hussain and the MIB.

“Outside of his day job the achievement winner helped set up the successful NW Fraud Forum, in collaboration with the late Richard Davies; provided advice to and acted as secretary of Insurance Fraud Investigators’ Group; and was a committee member of Insurance Fraud Taskforce where he was instrumental in its recommendations to government.”
