NKSJ deal sees Canopius split marine and energy unit

Canopius has separated its existing marine and energy unit into two dedicated divisions as part of a move designed to maximise the growth opportunities following the firms acquisition by Japanese insurer NKSJ.

Japan’s NKSJ Holdings has agreed a deal to acquire 100% of the shares of Canopius Group via its insurance subsidiary Sompo Japan Insurance.

Canopius announces claims units reshuffle

Canopius has moved to align its claims operations more closes with its three business units of global property, global specialty and UK retail, including announcing an internal promotion for the role of UK retail claims head.
