When I joined the insurance market in 2004, just under 10 years ago, the ‘required’ dress code for me to enter the hallowed halls of Lloyd’s of London was a skirt or dress.

In those days, and at other insurance gatherings of the time, it’s fair to say I was always in the minority as a female and I can name more than one occasion where I was the only woman in the room.
