Sompo Japan in talks to buy Canopius
Japanese general insurer Sompo Japan is in advanced talks to buy Lloyd's insurance group Canopius for around £600m ($970m).
Sompo's parent NKSJ Holdings released a statement saying it is "considering the reported acquisition [reported in a Japanese newspaper over the weekend]" and will make an announcement shortly. However
