Leading UK insurers are paying the contentious monthly premium for 'blue check' verification after Elon Musk's Twitter takeover - a privilege that was previously free of charge.

Although most insurers have paid Musk's originally touted $7.99 (£6.99) monthly subscription cost for at least one of their official accounts, several accounts with large followings remain unblemished

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
