Insurers

Channel
The Channel Managing Agency, responsible for managing The Channel Syndicate, has named Vinay Mistry as chief risk officer and a board member. He will join later this year, subject to regulatory approval. Mistry will be responsible for overseeing and developing the syndicate’s risk management and actuarial function. He joins from Aegis London, where he was head of operations. Prior to this, Mistry held senior roles at Lloyd’s, most recently as manager of ratings and investor relations, where he managed external relationships with syndicate boards, rating agencies and debt security holders.

ERS
Specialist motor insurer ERS has promoted Tom Donachie to head of bespoke. Donachie’s previous role at the firm was portfolio underwriting manager within the motor fleet. He joined ERS from NIG. ERS has also welcomed Alex Hardy to the commercial team, where he will head up business development for the South. He joins from Aviva, where he spent 14 years in underwriting and deal and account management. Liberty
Liberty Specialty Markets, part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Fiona Walden as senior underwriter for its strategic capital products division. Walden is a qualified solicitor and joins from insurance broker Willis, where she was deputy head of structured finance for four years. Tokio Marine Kiln
Tokio Marine Kiln has appointed Chris Cullen as liability underwriter. Cullen, who brings more than 27 years’ experience to the role, will underwrite a broad range of specialist liability risks across the UK and Ireland in a number of sectors throughout the Lloyd’s market.



Risk management

Healix International
Global risk management and assistance group, Healix International, has appointed Rob Upton as director of insurance markets to oversee the company’s continued expansion into the international insurance sector. Upton can be contacted at rob.upton@healix.com or on 0203 3805 7182 .


Brokers

Broker Network
Broker Network has hired Simon Drew as its new finance director. He will lead the finance team and support the management team in setting and delivering the business strategy for the network. Drew joins from Crawford and Company, where he was senior vice-president for strategy and business performance for Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia Pacific, focusing on financial planning, analysis and strategy for 48 countries. He has spent the past 11 years in the insurance sector, working for large corporates such as Aon and smaller venture capital & private equity backed businesses. Prior to his period in insurance, he spent 13 years in pan-European logistics with P&O & DFDS.


Repairs

Autoglass
Simon Blake has been appointed as the new operations and supply chain director at Autoglass. Blake has been with parent company Belron for 10 years and was most recently global head of global supply chain management at Belron International.


Loss adjusters

Concordia
Ian Woodhead has been named as managing director of Concordia Chartered Loss Adjusters. Woodhead has previously held senior roles in the market including UK property director at GAB Robins.
