ABI pegs storms Ciara and Dennis losses at £363m

The industry is set to pay out £363m on claims from storms Ciara and Dennis that hit the UK last month, the Association of British Insurers has calculated.

According to the ABI, the average household claim is expected to be £32,000.

The association reported that 82,000 claims have been received for flood and wind damage. Of these, 64,300 were for
