2017 Post Claims Awards: Full list of winners

Matthew Scott of NFU Mutual won the Achievement Award weeks before he retires

Covea notched up two team wins and NFU Mutual chief claims manager Matthew Scott (above) took home the Achievement Award at the Post Claims Awards last night at the Sheraton Park Lane, London.

An NFU Mutual employee also took home the Rising Star in the shape of Thomas Simpson; whilst Nicola Hill, the customers experience coach, Covea Insurance took home the Unsung Hero prize.

Matthew Shannon, motor claims manager, Co-op Insurance was named Claims Manager of the Year, whilst Allianz, Aviva and Legal & General also notched up wins.

Announcing the Achievement winner, the Awards host Patrick Monahan said: “Throughout his 34 year career [Scott] has taken an active role in the wider insurance industry, helping to raise standards and to work collaboratively to reduce claims costs.

“This is highlighted by his efforts as an active member of the Chartered Insurance Institute Claims Faculty Board and chair of the Association of British Insurers Personal Injury Committee. A position he has held since 2013 but will give up when he retires next month.”
