Renaissance Re, Everest Re deliver loss estimates

Bermudian reinsurers Everest Re and Renaissance Re have said that they will be hit by losses from the Chilean earthquake earlier in March.

Everest Re estimated that it will take a $225m hit from the earthquake in Chile, and added that it estimates it will take a further $25m hit from Windstorm Xynthia, which hit Europe.
