Sandy could cost insurers $15bn
Insured losses from storm Sandy to properties in the US are expected to be between $7bn and $15bn, according to catastrophe modeling firm AIR Worldwide.
The figure is an increase of the loss range of $5bn to $10bn put out by rival catastrophe modelling firm Eqecat yesterday.
AIR estimates include wind and storm surge damage to onshore residential
