First UK insurance special purpose vehicle authorised
UK life insurer Legal & General has converted a subsidiary company into an insurance special purpose vehicle (ISPV), creating the UK's first such entity.
An ISPV is a type of insurance entity regulated by the FSA which is neither an authorised insurer nor a pure reinsurer.
