Zurich this morning said the UK storms and floods were largely to blame for a 2 point increase in its global general insurance combined ratio to 96.5%.
Overall Zurich general Insurance gross written premiums and policy fees of $19.0bn, were up 3% or largely flat in local currency.
The GI business operating profit at the half year was up USD 51m to US
