Prudential said to be eyeing AIG's assets - report

Stories in the UK press have re-emerged that UK life insurer Prudential may be eyeing the Asian assets of stricken US insurer AIG.

 The Observer said that AIG may be looking for a US partner - possibly life insurer Prudential Life - to buy the assets, which have been put up for sale by AIG with a pricetag of around £20bn.
