Ageas to close Port Solent and Stoke operations
Ageas intends to close its Port Solent office by June 2019 and its Stoke office by June 2020, and expects to close its sales and service operations in Eastleigh. The number of jobs affected is yet to be confirmed.
The insurer has pinned the move on customers increasingly choosing to go digital.
It has opened a consultation with its employees, who face a number of different outcomes depending on where they are
