LIC investigated over Rs10m death benefit scam
The Life Insurance Corporation of India is being investigated for alleged "serious financial irregularities" in a scheme designed to provide insurance for the country's rural poor.
As reported in India's Business Standard, the country's Central Bureau of Investigation raided the offices of LIC, known as Janashree Bima Yojana in India, and residences of officials on Wednesday
