RSA wins subrogation case while Allianz fears motor premium hike
RSA has won a High Court battle defending its policy of adding up to 25% to motor repair bills passed on to rival insurers through subrogation, much to the disappointment of Allianz and Provident Insurance, which were involved in the litigation and contested RSA's practices.
Mr Justice Cooke gave a judgment today on preliminary issues in Coles, Woodhead and Crowther (RSA's policyholders) v Hetherton, Guy and Thomas (policyholders of Allianz and Provident Insurance).
