Karl wreaks havoc in east of Mexico
Hurricane Karl made landfall around 11:30am on 17 September local time, just to the north of the port city of Veracruz on the east Mexican coast.
At landfall Karl had maximum sustained winds of approximately 110 mph equivalent to a borderline category 2 / category 3 hurricane. Following landfall, Karl tracked towards the west-southwest
