Social engineering causing nine times more data breaches in 2017

Insurance customers reported nine times more cases of social engineering as the major causes of data breaches in 2017 than in the previous year.

Beazley’s latest Breach Insights report reveals that while hacking and malware prevail as the major causes of data breach, scams involving deception have risen dramatically.

Lack of trust in telematics hampering potential
