Lords vote down 'sunset clause' for Scrap Metal Dealers Bill
The House of Lords has rejected an amendment to the Scrap Metal Dealers Bill which stipulated that the legislation would expire five years after it came into force.
Voted down by 89 to 31, the so-called 'sunset clause' originated in the House of Commons after Putney MP Christopher Chope and Shipley MP Phillip Davies submitted more than 100 amendments which
