BLM converts to LDP model as Kinley made equity partner
Berrymans Lace Mawer's head of policy development, Alistair Kinley, has become the first non-lawyer to join the firm's equity partnership as it converts to a legal disciplinary practice. The LDP is the first new type of practice permitted by the Legal Services Act 2007, which will also see alternative business structures come into force on 6 October.
Mr Kinley joined BLM in 2006 after 10 years at the Association of British Insurers, where he led policy development on topics including civil justice and liability insurance.
