FSA – Latest developments on Payment Protection Insurance (PPI)
Stuart King, head of Retail Intelligence and Regulatory Themes at the Financial Services Authority (FSA), outlined in a recent speech the estimated size of the PPI market.
Total premium income has grown from £3.2 billion to £5.5 billion in the last five years. Industry estimates put the number of live PPI policies at 20 million, with between 6.5 million and 7.5 million
