Court of Appeal upholds limited recovery of premiums in TAG Test Cases
Insurers welcomed today’s forceful judgment from the Court of Appeal, which limits the recovery of premiums and other fees charged by The Accident Group and its panel solicitors to claimants in thousands of injury claims.
Lord Justice Buxton, delivering the judgment of the three man court, upheld the decisions of the Senior Costs Judge, Master Hurst, that:1/ of the premiums charged for after-the-event legal expenses
