FSA's Wilson hails authorisation progress
The Financial Services Authority has begun the process of sending letters to already authorised firms who have applied to conduct mortgage or general insurance business in addition to their current regulated activities.
1320 of these "variation of permission" letters have been sent this week, 1082 in respect of mortgages (or mixed business) and 238 in respect of insurance.Sarah Wilson, director of FSA High Street
