Asbestos ruling could save insurers up to £750m
Deloitte has estimated that Tuesday’s High Court ruling on the asbestos-related condition, pleural plaques, may reduce future claims to insurance companies by up to £750 million, in relation to their UK asbestos liabilities.
It said the outcome of the case has been described as a key loss for insurance companies, who have been ordered to continue making compensation payments but its analysis shows that, the decision by MrOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
