Home insurance payouts outpace premiums in Q2 2023

Insure Halal claims to have launched the UK’s first sharia-compliant home and landlord insurance

The latest figures from the Association of British Insurers reveal that £782m was paid out in home insurance claims in the second quarter of 2023.

The report cites a rise in subsidence claims following last summer’s record-breaking heatwave as being a driving force behind the 11% rise.

Most of the claims were paid out in relation to fire, theft
