MoJ defends the low proportion of unrepresented claimants using OIC portal
Speaking at the Association of British Insurers’ whiplash event, David Parkin, deputy director for civil justice and law policy at the Ministry of Justice, addressed the criticism that Official Injury Claims portal is not meeting its objectives as less than 10% use the portal unrepresented.
According to the latest data from the OIC portal covering the period from December 2021 to March 2022, 8.9% or 8,461 out of 86,805 claims were unrepresented. Overall, 9.1% of claimants used the portal
