Insurance Age and Axa launch The Big Idea

Mike Keating

Post Online's sister title Insurance Age has teamed up with Axa Personal Lines to launch a competition which will result in one broker working with the insurer's innovation team to launch their winning idea for personal lines.

To be in with a chance of winning, brokers need to submit 100 words detailing what their big idea is. This can be done online at www.insuranceage.co.uk or at the Biba conference where brokers can submit their idea via the ballot boxes which can be found at both the Insurance Age and Axa stands.

Alternatively, entries can be tweeted using #thebigidea, entered through the broker forum or emailed to the editor.

Once entries have been received, those which hold promise will be asked to submit a more detailed proposal. A shortlist of entrants will then be invited to present the entries to our panel of Dragons: Mike Keating, MD, intermediary and partnerhip sales, Axa; Eric Galbraith, chief executive, Biba; Patrick Smith, chairman of Biba and Swinton and Martin Friel, editor of Insurance Age.

Fresh new ideas
The winner will then work with Axa's personal lines innovation team through a workshop being designed and specifically tailored around the winning concept to explore ways in which the big idea can be brought to life.

Mr Keating said: "Axa Personal Lines is delighted to be sponsoring The Big Idea with its unique focus on fresh new ideas for the personal lines market coming up from the broking community. I am looking forward to seeing what's submitted."
