MEP claims ratification of EU reinsurance directive is imminent
MEP and member of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee of the European Parliament, Jonathan Evans, has said that ratification of the European Union directive on reinsurance, which states that capital requirements for reinsurers should be set at the same level as those for insurers, appears imminent.
Speaking at a seminar at Lloyd's hosted by London law firm Lawrence Graham last week, Mr Evans added that publication of the directive in this form demonstrated the importance attached by theOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
