Everest Q2 net income nearly halves
Everest Re, the Bermudian (re)insurer, said that net income for the first six months of year nearly halved, falling to $231.0m from $580.5m in the first six months of 2007.
Net adverse reserve development was $54.2 million pre-tax for the quarter compared to unfavorable development of $2.4 million in the second quarter of 2007.
Net earned premiums fell to just over $942m
