Axis reports GWP boost despite underwriting loss
Axis Capital's insurance segment saw fourth quarter gross written premiums increase 47%, bolstered by the group’s acquisition of London market carrier Novae.
Axis’ insurance segment saw GWP total $893m in the fourth quarter of 2017, an increase of $286m from the $607m written in the same period of 2016.
