Markel acquires Abbey Protection
Markel Corporation has completed a deal to acquire legal expenses insurer Abbey Protection after being granted approval by courts.
Abbey will maintain its brand, with management set to remain in place following the deal, falling under the remit of Markel International chief operating officer and president William Stovin, pictured
