Insurers have published their gender pay gap statistics. It was never going to go well and the industry's shameful figures further highlight that change is needed. With a bank holiday weekend approaching, perhaps it would be prudent to use that extra day in the sun to come up with a plan for meaningful change.

Following the revelation that insurance, and financial services more broadly, had a pay gap mean average of 26%, the worst of any sector, Post’s news editor Martin Croucher took a look at the facts
