Indian regulator asked to help fix 'suicidal competition'
Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee has directed the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority to suitably address the 'suicidal competition' among insurers as undercutting each other by offering policies at low premiums for a bigger market share finally affects their balance sheets.
