Insurers split over police’s burglary notification plan
Police plans to automatically inform insurers when burglaries occur at unsecured properties have received a mixed response from the industry.
According to Greater Manchester Police chief inspector Steve MacFarlane, the plan would encourage property owners and tenants to take greater care to lock up their properties to ensure insurance
