Broker saw 5000% home insurance surge in lead up to Ophelia

Broker Cover Builder saw a 5284% surge in home insurance sales in the minutes leading up to storm Ophelia.

The group saw the influx among Northern Irish homeowners in the lead up to the storm which left more than 50,000 homes and businesses without power last month.

Cover Builder head Rob Rushton said:
