Motorists caught driving without insurance can expect to see their premium rise by 131%, an increase that is higher than those triggered by any other driving conviction.
Drink driving was recorded as the offence bringing about the second highest rise in car insurance premiums, with those guilty of getting behind the wheel with a blood alcohol level above the legal
