Chubb Ireland hit by senior defections with Mitsui tipped to benefit
Chubb has confirmed four key employees are leaving its operations in Ireland.
It is understood that the quartet have been hired by Mitusi to launch a new operation in Dublin.
Alan Sheil, Ireland country manager, Cormac McNamara, Ireland commercial insurance manager, David Jenkins, Ireland claims manager, and Greg Wilde, Glasgow and Belfast branch manager, have quit the insurer.
Michael Casella, Chubb Europe chief executive officer (pictured), commented: "We have a well diversified and financially successful business combined with strong and experienced teams in both Dublin and Glasgow which positions us well for the future. Given our market leading proposition and financial strength, we are committed to the insurance markets in Ireland and Scotland for the long term.
"The UK and Ireland Management team will continue to focus very closely on these markets where we enjoy a strong reputation with our brokers and customers. I would like to thank Alan, Cormac, David and Greg for their contribution to Chubb and wish them well for the future."
