Edmund Tirbutt has been a freelance journalist specialising in insurance subjects for 30 years. He is a former regular contributor to the Mail on Sunday, Telegraph and Independent, and has written for Post Magazine since 1990. He was Biba Journalist of the Year in 1997 and ABI Freelance Journalist of the Year in 1998, 2000 and 2002. He has also written six books and is a stand-up comedian performing under the name of Ed de Cantor.
