Global reinsurance giant Swiss Re saw powerful Cyclone Debbie contribute towards a 35% fall in profit in the first half of 2017 while gross written premiums declined by over $1.5bn (£1.14bn).
Cyclone Debbie, which hit the states of Queensland and New South Wales in Australia in March, has cost Swiss Re pre-tax $360m in claims with P&C net income declining from $870m in the first half of
