FCA fines set to hit record low

Fine warning

2025 could see the lowest total value of fines issued by the Financial Conduct Authority in the regulator’s history, according to analysis by compliance and regtech platform Hackford.

As of the mid-point of this year, just £12.3m in fines have been issued.

If this trend continues, Hackford CEO and founder Dan Robinson forecasts a year-end total around £25m – well below the previous
