Indian government considering mis-selling role for ombudsman
The Indian government is considering expanding the remit of the insurance ombudsmen scheme to cover mis-selling of insurance products.
The jurisdiction of the ombudsmen currently includes partial or total repudiation of claims, and any dispute regarding premium paid or payable in terms of the policy, as well as delays in settlements
