Kennedys handed ABS approval
Law firm Kennedys has been granted an Alternative Business Structure licence by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, although the firm denies it is seeking external investment.
ABS licences allow for non-lawyers to invest in or buy law firms, giving firms from outside the sector the opportunity to provide a greater range of services to existing clients.
