Co-op targets young drivers with telematics
Co-operative Insurance has launched a telematics-based motor policy aimed at reducing young driver premiums in the wake of the European Court of Justice ruling, which outlawed gender as a rating factor.
The 'pay how you drive' product for 17 to 25-year-olds uses data transmitted from a smartbox fitted to the policyholder's car to assess driving patterns and calculate premiums.
Drivers are assessed
