Insurers stress fraud action
Insurers have stressed the need for decisive action against fraudsters in the civil courts after seven major insurers won £300 000 in damages from 57 members of a 'crash for cash' fraud ring.
The decision follows a landmark civil ruling on 9 November 2009 against the Manchester-based fraud ring that staged crashes between October 2005 and October 2006.
