Canopius FY pretax profits jumps 31%
Canopius, the Lloyd's (re)insurer, reported a 31% rise in pretax profits for the year to end-December 2008. Pretax profits grew to £43m from £33m in 2007.
Gross written premiums for the year grew to £457m from £455m, while net earned premiums grew to £326m from £296m.Investment income grew by £30million from 2007 which represented a return of 7.5%
