2003 saw increase in road deaths
The Department of Transport today published national statistics on road casualties in Great Britain in 2003, which relate to casualties in accidents reported to the police.
It found the number of deaths rose, by 2 per cent from 3431 in 2002 to 3508 in 2003. Other findings include the fact that 37 215 people were killed or seriously injured in 2003, 6 per cent fewer thanOnly users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
