PartnerRe FY net income heavily down; outlook positive
PartnerRe, the Bermuda-based reinsurer, reported full-year net income of $46.6m, significantly down from net income in 2007 of $717m.
This was mainly due to net realized and unrealized losses on investments of $453.6m. For the quarter, net income for the fourth quarter fell to $95.3m, down from $180.6m in the fourth quarter of 2007
