Aon-WTW merger cancelled after DOJ legal impasse
Aon and Willis Towers Watson have ended their merger plans, citing the “impasse” with the US Department of Justice.
Aon will now pay a $1bn (£730m) termination fee to WTW.
The DOJ had filed a civil antitrust lawsuit in June to block Aon’s proposed $30bn (£21bn) acquisition of WTW claiming it would eliminate
